In this video, I delve into one of my favourite topics: comparative anatomy. I explore how comparative anatomy aids in understanding evolution, focusing on two key concepts: divergent evolution and convergent evolution.
The video-making process involved drafting a script, followed by filming, and finally editing using Kapwing.
Hey,
I really liked the video! Great explanation and the pictures were a nice touch.
The subtitles were a bit distracting due to the words becoming blue when you said them.
But it is a nice extra touch to make it more understandable so I would leave them in but just have them not following along what you tell.
I like how you take one aspect to explain. I think you chose a topic thats interesting and understandable for people that do not know biology as well as people that do know some biology. Good choice.
I like the use of the pictures and subtitels, it supports your story. They also make for some movement in your video, which is nice.
Since you yourself are not really moving (which is okay since you are explaining something), and despite the pictures, I suggest perhaps using some colour or pattern or something in the background. Now your clothes and the background are kind of the same color. You could use that to make it a little more appealing visually.
But overall, nice video, well done!
Dear Cristina, while watching your video I saw quite a lot of interesting elements such as pictures that accompanied very well your script. Your speech was very well-prepared and your voice was calm but also vibrant where it was needed. I consider quite important the inclusivity in your video by adding subtitles and I congratulate you on that! What I learned during your video was the evolution and how comparative anatomy can contribute to the study of it. I would suggest though giving more time to your personal point of view in order to be balanced with the scientific information. Another important part is to stay aligned with your commissioners’ instructions. Since the video was supposed to encourage and invite groups of people to take action in your field of expertise, I would suggest enhancing this part too. Following this advice will help your video become more inviting and inspiring to your target group. Overall, you did a nice job! Keep going and I am looking forward for your next material
